The Turing’s AI Standards Hub research team are undertaking an ongoing project assessing the role and relevance of standards for supporting UK regulators to interpret and apply the UK cross-sector AI principles in regulatory guidance. The standard ISO/IEC DIS 42005 provides guidance on how organisations can develop and integrate impact assessment processes when developing, providing, or using AI systems. It is open for comment until March 26th.

New work on the use of AI in recruitment and employment
The AI Standards Hub is kicking off a research and engagement workstream led by Turing researchers, which will focus on the use of AI in recruitment and employment. Bringing together UK and European stakeholders, this project aims to investigate the role that consensus-based standards can play in advancing cross-jurisdictional coherence on the responsible use of AI in recruitment and employment contexts.
