New standards added to the AI Standards Hub database
We added 10 new standards to our database this week, including some new additions from the IEEE’s influential 7000 series which addresses the intersection of technological and ethical considerations for AI and autonomous systems. These new additions include the IEEE 7005 standard for transparent employer data governance and the IEEE 7007 Ontological Standard for Ethically Driven Robotics and Automation Systems. You can now explore, follow, and engage with these standards and more, on the AI Standards Hub’s online platform.

Featured e-learning module: Introduction to AI assurance
The UK Government’s recently published AI regulation White Paper emphasises the role of standards and AI assurance as “tools for trustworthy AI” that will play a crucial role in implementing the UK’s AI regulatory approach. Our “Introduction to AI assurance” course, co-developed with the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI) provides an excellent starting point for anyone interested in learning about AI assurance, and how it relates to standards. The course describes what AI assurance is and why it is important, who and what is involved in the assurance process, and what that process might look like in practice.
