Scope
This document provides a domain-independent guide to appropriate approaches and methods to promote explainability throughout all stages of an AI model’s life cycle. A better understanding of explainable AI helps organizations embed principles of trust and transparency into their AI-based applications. It also provides the conceptual and procedural basis for formulating specific requirements for explainability and for comprehensible proof of correct technically operation. This document is not a requirements specification and does not provide any implementation requirements. © 2024 DIN German Institute for Standardization
