Overview
This document describes the governmentās approach to supporting the safe deployment of self-driving vehicles to deliver societal and economic benefits.
It includes the government response to:
- a review of automated vehicle legislation carried out by the Law Commission of England and Wales and the Scottish Law Commission
- a call for evidence about the future of the UK connected and automated mobility sector
It commits to a new legislative framework for safe self-driving road vehicles. This new framework will enable innovation whilst also ensuring safety.
