Overview
Standards play a crucial role in AI assurance, setting out the agreed criteria that enables people to define what trustworthy AI looks like. This course is aimed at anyone interested in learning about AI assurance, how it relates to standards and its role in ensuring AI systems are trustworthy. It was co-developed by the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI) and The Alan Turing Institute and is largely based on content from the CDEI AI Assurance Guide. It provides a basic introduction, describing what AI assurance is and why it is important, who and what are involved, and what it might look like in practice.
