Connected and automated vehicles: a review of the UK’s legislation and good practice
Abstract
| The white paper provides an overview of the CCAV Code of Practice (CoP): Automated Vehicle Trialling, BSI’s CAV standards programme, the current legal framework and the Law Commissions’ recommendations.
The white paper is developed to help users navigate the UK’s legal frameworks and standards. It provides insights on the interrelationship between the CoP, BSI’s CAV standards and current legislative requirements, including what obligations are mandatory and what is considered good practice. This document is for use by organizations, either based in the UK or considering setting up in the UK, developing, trialling, testing and deploying CAVs together with other stakeholders. |
